New Hatchlings of Noisy Friar Birds
Abandoned Nest

Start at the bottom. This is the last one in the series. The baby's were flying and thus gone from the nest by the 12th Jan. The other photos were taken on the 5th January. Talk about growing up fast!

They are very see-through... Posted by Picasa

I suspect that the white stuff used in building the nest is some of Andy's fur. I read to leave the clippings outside for birds to use. Posted by Picasa

Ugly critters aren't they?  Posted by Picasa

It fell from the Poinciana and a lady took it with the babies to my neighbour Brian, who relocated it on his topiary 'emu'. Posted by Picasa

Happy Second Birthday Connor

This diary format alway posts the latest entry first so actually you should start reading this day from the bottom up. Anyway, this is Connor's turn at wacking the Pina Colada...well whatever it is. We went home soon after this and Connor was on his way upstairs to unwind for a well-needed sleep.

I cannot seem to get blogger (this weblog site) to work properly unless I use my photo program so I cannot edit the errors.

Anyway it was a good day.

I went out last night to a dinner party with Karla down the road to meet some new people. Brenda and I went to see Harry Potter - Goblet of Fire last Tuesday. So...that makes this past week the most social I've had, apart from family, for a year. 2006 hopefully will continue to provide a little more fun than 2005.

What do you call those things that are not Pina Colada's that you wack until it splits open and all the lollies fall out? Well I have lost my memory and can't think of it...anyway that is one of them. Ange ended up having to rip it open anyway. She also had made a couple of "pass the parcel" games. Posted by Picasa
Here is the birthday cake. Pity I chopped their heads off. Also a pity that Ange pinched my dry towel from the fence so that when I got out, I had to stand there dripping until she came up with another one. Posted by Picasa

That is Billy with Connor in the pool...another Uncle! It is not a good photo of him. Posted by Picasa
That is Ange's boyfriend Scott. They are still together after all. Our "expired" Scott (as he introduced himself to someone today) is just happy to be out of the relationship with Becky (who was also there). All of us seemed to be surrounded by ex's but there were no problems.

It was great to have the pool today, it was muggy...quite often overcast but quite often the sun steamed the place up too. We got home just before a deluge. I had a swim, so did the boys and Stacey. Posted by Picasa
Connor was a pretty tired boy at one stage and he came to me for a cuddle. Posted by Picasa

After Connor was taken back to Ange's place

we had a couple of hours to kill before the party started. The photo below this one shows Ange with her newish fringe and blackish hair. This photo shows the setup but the crowds of kids seem to be either out the front or in the pool.

I waited and waited for the sausage sizzle but it came and went so fast that I missed out...so there was not enough to eat. I had my lunch at 3pm after I got home.

I had already given Connor his presents from GrandNan and Auntie Debbie at 7am when I went over to the boys place and woke them up. Connor was taken back to Ange's place Posted by Picasa
Happy Second Birthday Connor
At eleven thirty a.m. four cars left Roderick St heading for Ange's place, where a party was being held for Connor Seth Frizzell, my grandson. In my car there was myself (Nan Jude or Nanoo), Brett and Stacey. Scott's car was leading and about to pick up Nick, Tamara and Riley. Another car contained Brett's co-worker Chris and his daughter. Finally Roger's daggy truckette transported Billy aka Beau. We headed off in convoy.
